THE WORD THIS WEEKEND

This weekend at Catholic mass you will hear repeated a message you may have heard many times.  It's not only a Biblical message but one many repeat in daily secular life.  It is oh so true.  It goes:  "The person who is trustworthy in small matters is also trustworthy in great ones; and the person who is dishonest in very small matters is also dishonest in great ones."

Luke wrote that almost 2,000 years ago.  It is still a good thing to remember.  The passage goes on to say, "No servant can serve two masters.  He will either hate one and love the other or be devoted to one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and the things of man."

Try not to make anything else in your life so important that it could be your God.  Nothing of this world is that important.

Have a blessed weekend.  I love you.
