GARDENS

At a funeral service I recently attended, a handout included a poem called "The Garden of Promise".  I searched the Internet for the author and found it was Sherrie Bradley-Neal - a noted poet from Hamilton, Ohio.  Ms. Bradley-Neal works for the Calvary Christian Center there.  You can find dozens of her poems on the website: https://irp-cdn.multiscreensite.com/8f5c3d87/files/uploaded/flipbook.pdf

Thomas Kinkade, the Painter of Light, produced a beautiful oil painting he titled "The Garden of Promise."

Here is the poem..

These is a place, I have been told,
Beyond an open gate.
All have been invited
Where friends and loved ones wait.

It holds eternal promise
of everlasting peace.
No pain or sorrow ever comes
and teardrops there have ceased.

Abundant life is evident
Constant, fresh and new.
A garden of provision
with eternity in view.

The promise is awaiting
A place we can abide.
Fulfilled for all who answer
The call to come inside.
