This Sunday we have arrived at the second week of the Advent season. The second candle will be lit on the Advent wreath. This symbol of eternity already carries one lit candle that reminds us that Jesus is the "light of the world". When we have light, we can see; we are given understanding.
This week we see a second candle lit. Let it remind us of the second coming of Jesus; that being on our personal judgement day. He was here and He will come again. Let that knowledge sculpt our person into one who believes. During this second week of Advent, live with the constant knowledge that the end is coming; that the end is near, and Jesus will meet us. Prepare yourself for His second coming.
