Supply chains are a problem in that they are chains. A chain is a uni-directional tool or implement. The business community needs to think in terms of supply webs which are multi-directional. Webs are good unless they are in the corner of your room at the ceiling. People afraid of spiders call them cobwebs but a cob (male swan) has never spun a web.
