There is a Kennedy running for president in 2024.

John F Kennedy became President of the United States in 1961, when I was my second year of high school.  John named his younger brother, Robert F Kennedy, the Attorney General of the United States.  

John was assassinated when I had just started college in 1963.  He had defeated Richard Nixon in one of the closest votes in history.

Robert was running for President in June of 1968 when he was assassinated.  I had returned from Vietnam nine months before that.  

It seems strange to me that we now hear of another in the family running for President.  Robert F Kennedy Jr, age 69, is a Democrat, like the rest of the family, and a lawyer, like most of the family.  He has been working for over 30 years for a non-profit environmental organization while teaching law at Pace University.  Robert has taken a strong stance against vaccinations for children and recently, against vaccinations for COVID-19.  He is an environmental and anti-vaccine activist.
