BORROWED WISDOM

Have you heard of Saint Fermin?  I have friends and relatives named Fuhrman - no relation.  This man is a Spanish martyr from the Navarre region - San Fermin, he's called by the locals.  There is a large church built in his honor and right now there is a week-long festival going on to celebrate him.

So what do you think they do during this big festival?  Pray - maybe.  Feast - yes.  Party - sure.   Well, they main thing the young people do every morning, is run through the narrow streets of the capitol city while  dozens of angry bulls chase them.  They've been doing it for over a hundred years.  Every morning, in Pamplona, they call it the "Running of the Bulls".  The claim only fifteen have died doing this since the inception.  Obviously, many more carry gore marks for life.

That's a lot of bull if you ask me.  I know a guy, a friend of my son, who claims to have done it.  Excitement junky, I guess.  It it on your bucket list?

Stay safe, friends.
