About 70 years ago my elementary school teachers, mostly nuns, were warning us that some day we would have to learn to use the metric system because all science and business worldwide would use it. Nothing great could be accomplished without it because in order to share information with the rest of the world we would have to know how to use metric measurements.
We are a stubborn country are we not? Yes, but none has accomplished more.
In this regard, I am pleased to inform you that I only weigh about 17 stones. That may not be a metric measurement but it sounds a lot better than 108 kg and a hell of a lot better than what my scale says. Let the stones prevail.
