WHEN I WAS A KID
When I was a kid, we were off school on Good Friday but, if we didn't go to church, my mom wouldn't let us go out of the house and play from noon to 3 pm . . . that's just the way it was. She was sure that this was the time that Jesus suffered and died.
Sit in the house and be quiet . . . that was the rule. Remember, this is before kids had so many things to do in their rooms. There was only one TV in the house and it was off . . . no i-anythings. It was 'cruel and unusual punishment' on a beautiful Spring day - that's what I thought at the time. Maybe we need more of that.

When I think of Good Friday, I think of Grandma. She created lots of memories for all of us on that day! 🙏❤️
