While scanning old Memorial Day entries, I found this; it is a positive prayer for today.

MIDWEEK PRAYER
We are nearing Memorial Day weekend in the U.S. Never forget our military and veterans. Here is a prayer I found on the back of handout given at the church service memorializing a friend.
Almighty God,You know every veteran by name.You know their deeds, their hard work,and their perseverance.You know their needs, both material and spiritual.Please draw each one closer to youand grant them all the peace that surpasses understanding, the peace of Christ to rule in their hearts,and 'joy in your presence,with eternal pleasures at your right hand'forevermore. Amen
