MIDWEEK PRAYER

LET US PRAY

Today, Dear God, we pray for those who govern us; 

for federal, state and local officials 

with whom we entrust our future and that of our children.  

Infuse voters with wisdom in discerning who would be best to lead us.  

May these leaders be strong-willed, motivated with integrity and honesty, 

compassion and empathy, justice and fairness,

and a clear vision of what the future should be. 

We pray the goals of all leaders are in step with our family values; 

and their decisions are in step with your laws. 

Help them preserve our liberties, our national security and economic stability. 

Help them especially in times of crisis.

We ask much of our leaders;

we ask much of you.  

We dare do this through your Son our Lord Jesus Christ.
