I was never a really good at spelling words. Luckily, modern technology corrects most of my errors these days. Here is a note I received from a friend the other day. My friend, BP, wrote, well maybe he copied, the following from somewhere he found it. It goes along with one of the rules they teach you in elementary school: "I" before "E" except after "C".
I before E
except when your foreign neighbor
Keith receives eight counterfeit beige sleighs
from a feisty caffeinated weightlifter.
Weird.
As you can see, rules are made to be broken - especially in our language.
You, too, could be an integral part of this blog by sending me something good to publish. If I use your suggestion, I will award you the same prize that BP received.
