TRIVIAL TRIVIA

 Did you ever wonder . . . ?

What country or place in the world gets to see the sun first each day?  Of course, the trick to this is finding the International Date Line.  You can find it on your globe, map or phone . . . the answer is Kiribati.

Kiribati?  Officially, the Republic of Kiribati.  It's an island in Oceania. One of the Line Islands. The part of world we call Micronesia!  Still lost?  It's in the middle of the Pacific Ocean - real close to the International Date Line.

It's population is little more than 115,000.  It's capital city is Tarawa. They use the Australian dollar as their currency.  The people are mostly English speakers.  They are 96% Christian and 56% Catholic.

If you really want to be the first to see the sun one day, Kiribati is the place to be.
