Can you believe that the grand slam home run that Addison Barger hit in the first game of this year's World Series was the first ever - by a pinch hitter in a World Series game?  Major League Baseball is full of records.  I think that's one of the big things that keeps it going.
The following is a list of almost unbreakable major league baseball records and a list of the players who hold those records.  See if you can match the names to the records.  It's not that hard.
- 4,256 hits in a career
- 232 bases on balls in a season
- 5,714 strike outs by a pitcher in a career
- 2,632 consecutive games played without an off day
- 191 runs batted in
- 56 games in a row with at least one hit
- 262 hits in a season
- 511 career wins by a pitcher
- 73 home runs in one season
- 1,406 stolen bases in a career
- Joe Dimaggio
- Pete Rose
- Cy Young
- Cal Ripken
- Rickey Henderson
- Nolan Ryan
- BarryBonds
- Hack Wilson
- Ichiro
- Now, you should realize that there are 10 records but only nine players. One holds two records. Give it a try. The Internet and Baseball Almanac are available to those who need it.

I got them all right. I promise. Educated guesses on the pitchers. Didn’t know Hack Wilson…APL
