It's not easy coming up with a new prayer every week but this week it was. I noted that Elvis Presley made a Chirstmas album way back in 1957. This is most of one of the songs on that album. It is so poetic. I never thought of it as a Chirstmas song but, since Elvis did, here it is. I love the thought. Read it as a poem, sing it or go to YouTube and listen. Inspiration!
I believe for every drop of rain that falls
a flower grows.
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night
a candle glows.
I believe for everyone who goes astray, someone will come
to show the way.
Yes, I believe. I believe.
I believe above a storm, the smallest prayer
can still be heard.
I believe that someone in the great somewhere
hears every word.
And everytime I hear a newborn baby cry
or touch a leaf or see the sky
then I know why,
I believe.
