INTERCOLLEGIATE SPORTS

Of course, intercollegiate means kids playing games, like football and pingpong.  How idyllic!

By now, everyone has at least heard of the Brendan Sorsby and his admitted gambling and the NCAA penalties and the Judge's partial dismissal.  That was nothing!  How about more ugliness in college football.  Now we're talking about real money.

Louisiana State University fired their head football coach after last season and paid him $53 million to go away.  Then they stole a head coach from Mississippi State University and agreed to pay him $91 million and give him $15 million for his staff of helpers.  With a little change left in their pockets, they have made payments estimated at $40-50 million to players in the form of NIL agreements.  All this for one football team.
