1993 The Branch-Davidian's compound in Waco, TX was attacked and burned to the ground by US agents after a long stand-off with the cult. 86 people were killed including 17 children.
1989 A gun turret exploded on the USS Iowa, a US Navy battleship . 47 sailors were killed.
