WHEN I WAS A KID

WHEN I WAS A KID

When I was a kid and in elementary school, we didn't use the ink wells in our desks because of the new cartridge pens. Ball point pens either hadn't been developed or weren't commonly available. These pens we used had an ink cartridge that you put in the pen and could replace when it ran out. It was liquid ink but not as messy as using the old ink wells. After a year or two of this, we did get our first ball point pens. They weren't real reliable at that time. The were stick type pens and they tended to leak.
