PADIDDLE

PADIDDLE

When my wife and I were dating, this was 1963 to 1966, we used to play a game when we were out in the car. Whoever saw another car with a headlight burned out would say, "padiddle" and the other person would have to kiss them, immediately. It was a race to see who could say it first. Great game, huh? I couldn't lose. As we got to know each other better, we also played with burned out tail lights out. For those, you would have to say "pedunkle".

The point is, back in the 60's, there were A TON of cars with lights out. You can't believe how many. Today, you almost never see one. Light bulb manufacturers have come a long way with automobile lighting. Its such an improvement, but, too bad for the kids who are dating.
