RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

DID YOU KNOW
Babies are born with about 300 bones but the normal adult has 206 bones in their body. Curious?
As a baby develops and matures, its bones grow larger and some of them fuse together. For example, the sacrum (the connector between the backbone and the tail bone) of a baby is made up of five bones but in an adult it is one bone. Amazing, isn't it?
I think bones are pretty important. We'd be kind of limp without them. I had to bone up on this subject. Hope I didn't make a boner.
