WHEN I WAS A KID

WHEN I WAS A KID

I think this was when I was in the 7th or 8th grade. All the cool guys used to carry a comb in their back pocket. It had to be long enough that you could quickly get it out if you needed it and, of course, long enough so that others could see it. This fad didn't last too long. The nuns at our grade school put a stop to it when they found the combs were scratching the desks. After that and for a long time, I carried a comb in my back pocket that was short enough to fit all the way in my pocket. I'm sure, at the time, I never dreamed I would one day have no hair.
