FLORIDA

Our flight to Florida was as good as it gets. Delta did a fine job. Everything was on time. We made a good and timely connection in Atlanta. Each plane ride was smooth and pleasant.

We had gray haired pilots! That's the key. It kinda goes along with that old axiom that says, "always choose a young doctor that knows all the new tricks and choose an old lawyer who knows all the old tricks." If you are on a small plane and a short flight you expect to have a young pilot. This is a guy that is working his way up. He's waiting his chance to move up to a bigger plane and a better route. On big planes going long distances, old pilots are fine. The best and most experienced pilots move up to those flights. But, if you see a gray haired pilot on a small plane, he has probably had some kind of problem and was demoted. Be wary of him. I'm not quite sure what you should do. Just say an extra prayer at take-off, I guess.
