SAY WHAT?

Ok, we've all done crazy things. Sometimes, we even do them on purpose. Did you ever hear of this one?

You've heard of a pangram, I'm sure, even if you are not familiar with the word. A pangram is a sentence that includes each letter of the alphabet at least once. They are often used in typing lessons. An example is "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog."

I was surprised, recently, to learn that there is an opposite to this called the lipogram. It is a piece of literature that excludes a letter. In 1963, Georges Perec, a French author, wrote a 300-page novel called La Disparation without using, of all things, the letter "e". American Gilbert Adair was able to translate it into English with using the letter "e" as well. I'm not sure if this fact is more amazing or more ridiculous.
