LOOKING COOL

I had a recollection the other day about a guy I used to hang with named Jim Kipling. We were pretty tight through high school and went to UC together. We did a lot of crazy things but the one that struck me this day had to do with guys wanting to be cool.

He had a pretty slick car though it was "family car" sized. I think it was something like a 1964 Plymouth...two toned red and white...push-button transmission. Anyway, he had the idea that we should never roll up the windows if at all possible. In the Winter, we used to drive around with the two front windows down and the heater blowing full blast. He wouldn't let me roll the window up no matter how cold it was. Kids do crazy things.
