THE EYE OF PROVIDENCE

The eye you see on the back of the U.S. one dollar bill and on the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States is the Eye of Providence. It is meant to signify that God is watching over us. The eye sits above a pyramid of thirteen layers of stones. These represented the thirteen original colonies. Our country's founders were certain that it took Divine intervention to get them to the point of Declaring Independence.
