CINCINNATI SPORTS LAST WEEK

The Reds are rounding third and heading for home. They hosted the St. Louis Cardinals for three and won two. The third was a one run loss. On the weekend, they played the Milwaukee Brewers who still had hopes of making the playoffs as a wild card team. The Reds took two of three and finished the week with four wins in six games. Aaron Harang finally put it all together and got a complete game shutout victory.

The UC Bearcats (1-1) hosted the Miami Redhawks (1-2) at Nippert Stadium on Saturday evening. Miami could not slow up UC's offense and the Cats ran up a 45-20 victory. Tony Pike, a junior quarterback, made his first-ever start and you couldn't have asked for more.

The Bengals (0-2) went to New Jersey on Sunday to play the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants (2-0) in the Meadowlands. The 'Guys in Stripes' played by far their best game of the year but still lost 26-23 in overtime.
