The coming presidential election in the U.S. is shaping up to be an interesting contest. I hope this inconsequential bickering and bating will stop so that we can get down to the meat of the matter. It really bores me to hear the pundits talk for days on end about a slip-of-the-tongue or a use-of-a-phrase by one candidate or the other. With just seven weeks left, lets find out what these people believe in.
I'm never too impressed with what they say they would have done in a past situation. That is meaningless to me. I'm not even too impressed with what they say they will do in a hypothetical situation. You never have every factor in mind until it actually happens.
Give me the basic philosophy, standards and agenda that govern their life, their behavior, their decision making. Give me a good person that I can expect to do good things.
