JEFF BEZOS

In 1994, while making a cross country drive from New York City to Seattle, Jeffrey Bezos wrote up a business plan that turned into Amazon.com. He set up the original company in his garage. Since then, he has been named Time magazine's Person of the Year (1999) and one of the country's best leaders by U.S. News and World Report. Remarkably, he has received the same modest salary since 1998 i.e. $81,840. He now reportedly has $8.2 billion in assets. Take a trip across the country... if you can afford the gas.
