TRUTH SERUM

When I was young, it was a common plot component in 'spy movies' to use truth serum on prisoners to get important information. A shot in the arm and the prisoner went into a kind of trance and couldn't help but answer questions truthfully. I've often wondered why I don't hear of it any more. Da! It was a sham. There is no such thing. Nothing can make you tell the truth...except alcohol. My moma always said, "A drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts."
