Sugar is a wonderful thing. I doubt there is anyone who really doesn't like sugar. A little of it is no problem. I lot of it could be a problem.
The human body knows how to take care of sugar. If your pancreas is working well, a little sugar is handled with ease. If its not working well, you may have diabetes.
Even if your pancreas is doing its job, a big slug of sugar which some are likely to ingest at Easter or other holidays, can severely overload it. The pancreas controls all the glands of the body. If it is working overtime to tell the body to produce insulin to take care of all that sugar, it might not be working hard enough to do its other jobs and your resistance to virus intruders will be compromised. Kids and adults as well, often end up with some kind of illness after a holiday. The excessive intake of sugar just may be the underlying reason. Control yourselves!
