IRONY

Just when I was musing about health care and what is evidently in store for us with the proposed government mandated health care system, my mother was thrust back into the system. She was put into the hospital yesterday for the third time this year. The nurses are now recognizing her. It s not a good sign when they recognize you at the hospital.

Old people are fragile. I still feel strong but when I look in the mirror I see the weakness behind my visage. If I were really strong, I wouldn't be carrying this excess weight. I'm without strength to get it under control. When you are very old, your weakness obvious. When you're almost very old . . .
