SWINE FLU

I saw two interesting articles about the swine flu last week...very interesting.

First, the New York Times reported that the country of Egypt had killed all pigs in the country last Spring. They thought that without pigs they would be safe from the swine flu. Now, about six months later, they have a lot more garbage than they know what to do with. Most owners used their pigs to eat up edible wastes. Talk about ruining the balance of nature...talk about the problem of unintended consequences...Egypt may have a bigger problem than the flu.

Second, a United Kingdom publication, The Guardian, reported that the United Nations is going to release a report that says only an influx of about 900 million pounds by the richest nations into vaccines and preventative services for the poorest nations could prevent a pandemic of swine flu and that this kind of pandemic could result in widespread anarchy. The blackmail has begun.
:D
