ROLLING DOWN THE HIGHWAY

While rolling down the highway yesterday, my mind fell into a curious search for street names out of the ordinary. I know from experience that the developer of a subdivision is allowed to select names for streets. I'm sure every community has a 'street name' czar who controls these things and makes sure they don't get duplicated or out of hand. I probably would stretch the limits. Here is what I'm getting at.

We could have an Easy Street or Della Street . . . Perry Mason might mind. What if there was a Lois Lane or an Abbey Lane? What about a Bowling Lane or a Fire Lane...could you park a car on Fire Lane? Rocky Road could be smooth. Dirt Road could be paved. Can you picture Oarer Road? Of course, you can. What else would an oarer do? Those people who live on Circles might find it fun to live on Square Circle or Sewing Circle. The most fun would be to live on a little street named Goa Way or Staya Way. Now I've got your mind working . . . don't I?
:o)
