CINCINNATI SPORTS LAST WEEK

The Cincinnaiti Cyclones ECHL hockey team, fought back from down 0-3 in their best of seven semi-final series to win four in a row and go to the league finals. Awesome!

The Reds were amazing in Pittsburgh. First Bronson Arroyo gave the Pirates only five hits and one run in seven innings of a 2-1 win. Then, Johnny Cueto gave them no runs and only one hit in a complete game win. Then, Homer Bailey gave them no runs and only four hits in a complete game win. That was the best pitched series I remember in Reds' history.

In their best of seven series for the Kelly Cup with the Idaho Steelheads, the Cyclones won the first two on the road and hold a commanding lead coming back to town next week. All this and $1 beers. You gotta love it.

The first place St. Louis Cardinals came to town for a weekend series. The Reds took two of three. Rookie Mike Leake won again. Bronson Arroyo threw a complete game. Johnny Gomes is very hot at the plate. Cincinnati finished the week in first place in the division with a 21 and 16 season record. It hasn't been this good for years.
:o)
