SPRINKLING

When watering the flowers last week, I got to thinking about what we used to call sprinkling cans. When I was a kid, irons didn't have water in them. I don't know much about ironing, but I have the idea that water is necessary. I remember my mother having a sprinkling can with her sitting on the ironing board. It was just a can with a screw-off top that had holes in it. Mom would fill it with water and sprinkle the clothes periodically while ironing them. Just a thought, a remembrance of my mother.
:o)
