CROWNS

There is a new crown or two in Cincinnati. Workers topped off the Great American Tower the other day. It is the new tallest building in the Cincinnati skyline. At 660 ft from ground to top, it is 86 feet taller than the Carew Tower. On top of the building is a crown, or tiara, or birds nest, or cobweb...I'm not sure. The Carew Tower was built in 1930 and includes 47 floors. This new building contains 41 floors. I guess floors are not what they used to be.

The other crown that has come to the city, lately, is the documentary on Peter Edward Rose called "4192 - The Crowning of the Hit King". It will be made public in the near future but it has already won an award for best sports documentary of the year at the Los Angeles Film Festival. It completely ignores the non-baseball side of Rose...no gambling, no suspension, no Hall of Fame rejection. Go Pete!

:o)
