INDIAN SUMMER

Indian Summer is defined as a warm spell after the first killing frost of the season and before the first snow. We haven't had a frost yet this Fall in southwestern Ohio, so these 80 degree temperatures are just the remnants of a hot dry Summer.

I checked with the Victory Seed Company who keeps track of such things. The average date of the first frost in the Cincinnati area is October 13...today. It looks like we're going to drag the average to a later date for the future.
