The official temperature got to 92 degrees here on Tuesday past. The highest temperature recorded on that date in Cincinnati was in 1937 when it reached 95 degrees. Do you think people were talking about man-made global warming back then?
Also, note that 1937 was the year of the worst floods in our history. There are still markers around town indicating how high the river got in 1937. Spring temperature spikes and heavy rain evidently go hand-in-hand.
I bet they didn't get much softball in that year. We will probably have our first game of the season tonight.
