LICENSE PLATES

There was a time when traveling by car meant checking out license plates from around the country.  Each state had a distinctive plate.  My uncle was a cop and he had to memorize all of the color combinations.  Now there are so many plates for each state it's impossible.  I miss that.

There was also a time that I played a game with license plates.  That object was to find a plate with only the number 1 and then one with only the number 2 and so forth.  The lowest numbers weren't too hard to find.  The longer you played, the harder it got.  I played for a year or so and got just over 100.  Try it.
