There was a time when traveling by car meant checking out license plates from around the country. Each state had a distinctive plate. My uncle was a cop and he had to memorize all of the color combinations. Now there are so many plates for each state it's impossible. I miss that.
There was also a time that I played a game with license plates. That object was to find a plate with only the number 1 and then one with only the number 2 and so forth. The lowest numbers weren't too hard to find. The longer you played, the harder it got. I played for a year or so and got just over 100. Try it.
