CONFLICTS

I'm going through a period of internal conflict with regard to the television.  I haven't mentioned it but, as usual, I'm watching almost 80 hours of the Tour de France.  The 3-week event encompasses about three or four hours of racing every day.  The race will end this coming Sunday.

The problem I have is that the (British) Open Championship is on the tube right now.  Starting yesterday, there is about 8 hours of coverage on the most interesting of golf tournaments.  Taking place in Scotland this year, the actual live coverage could go from about 1 am to 4 pm.  That's a lot of golf.

I hope my eyes can take it.
