RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

7/15/2013

JULY 15

On this date in 1910, German psychiatrist Emil Kraepelin described for the first time a disease named after his colleague Alois Alzheimer.  Kraepelin has been described as the founder of modern scientific psychiatry. It was he who first realized that all the crazies in the world are that way because of something that went haywire in their brains; many because of genetic malfunction.  Alzheimer's is a disease of my friends, the aged, and should not be the subject of jokes.
