Two sons live on a farm with their rich father; one is not thrilled with working there and asks for his portion of his inheritance so that he can strike out on his own. He squanders all he has wine, women and song. He ends up flat broke.
Almost starving, jobless and homeless, he swallows his pride and goes home to his father. His dad welcomes him with open arms and treats him like a king. The other son is pissed; he thinks it isn't fair.
The old man says "zip it! - I'll do what I want with my money."
Lessen: God loves the repentant just as much as he does those who never left him - maybe more. Its a good moral to keep in mind!
