Its mid-spring in the Ohio valley. My walks around the lake in Sharon Woods are full of the changing season.
Ducks and geese have been pairing up for a couple of weeks. The turtles have come out of hibernation and can be found sunning themselves on logs and felled trees all around the lake. The wild red bud trees are in full bloom and resplendent along the path. Greenery is popping through last years fallen leaves and miniature purple pinwheel flowers are everywhere. Even the dead-looking bald cypress, which are so gorgeous in the Summer, are starting to show some signs of life. The sounds of robins tweeting, squirrels scurrying and woodpeckers pounding fill the air.
Now is that an idyllic setting or what? Come walk with me.
