RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

SUNDAY SERVICE

The last two weeks we had parables about seeds.  Today, we get into an event about food;  the famous story about the miracle of the loaves and the fish.  I think everyone knows it but here is a short synopsis.

More than five thousand people followed Jesus to a remote area.  He cured their sick and preached to them during the day. As evening approached, his disciples suggested that he disperse the crowd so that they could go to the town and buy food.  Jesus insisted that they feed them all with the one basket of bread and fish they had for themselves.  They were able to do so and actually had more left over than they started with.

It should be plain to every adult that there develops a bond between those with whom we share food.   Encourage your family to eat together as often as possible.

But most of all, if you have plenty, share it.  Give to the poor and you will end up with more than you had.
