It takes a couple of hours for the process because they filter the platelets out of your blood and return the red cells and plasma to you. I'm sure it doesn't hurt.
Platelets are the clotting factors in your blood. They are critical for cancer patients during their treatments and are also used in transplant and trauma surgeries. This is my Christmas gift to people I don't know.
