Today is the day that includes the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice is that moment when days in our hemisphere stop getting shorter and start getting longer. You wont notice much at first but be assured we are now going in the right direction. Also, don't confuse this with being midwinter. Winter, despite what we have experienced here, is just getting started.
