On this date in 1959, Fidel Castro took over as premier of Cuba. He replaced ousted dictator Fulgencio Batista after a long battle between their followers.
Castro turned the island country into a communist state and it has not had official relations with the U.S. until just recently. Fidel, 88, still lives but because of illness, his brother, Raul, is currently head of state.
These old men may not know how to run a country but they have ours kissing their ass right now. BHO is so desperate to build his legacy he will give away the store.
