PALM TREES

There are about 2600 different species which we call palm trees.  Some are trees, some plants and some vines.  All are flowering plants - mostly tropical from desert to rain forest.  Some bear coconuts and some dates. Some are used to make rattan furniture and baskets, some to make carnauba wax, some to make palm oil and some to make wine.  Some palm fronds were waved to cool kings and emperors and, yes, to glorify Jesus as he entered Jerusalem.  Sunday we celebrate that day.
