When I was a kid, automobiles were a little harder to drive. The latest thing was what they called power steering and power brakes. These were options at the dealer. My parents bought their first new car in 1962. It was a Chevy and they opted not to get power steering or power brakes.
Now, these options are standard and not mentioned. Can you imagine how it was? Not impossible, for sure, but a lot more work to drive a car.
