WHEN I WAS A KID

When I was a kid, low quality items were 'made in Japan'.  Japan was noted for making things smaller and cheaper.  Of course, we had just defeated them in World War II.  They were trying to rebuild their country and get their economy going.  Japan is a country with minimal land mass so they were used to making things smaller.  The Japanese people as well as their goods seemed small.

Fast forward to today.  I have driven nothing but Japanese automobiles in the last twenty years.  I swear by them.  The electronics industry has been dominated by Japan for most of my life.  How things have changed.

Do you think youngsters can imagine buying products made in the Middle East when they are older?
