Five years ago today, David Cameron was appointed Prime Minister of the United Kingdom by the Queen. In their form of government, the prime minister is the head man or woman - the chief operating officer - the grand poobah, so to speak.
Cameron was the leader of the Conservative Party and was selected as a compromise in negotiations with the Liberal Democrat Party. These two parties currently control most votes in general elections.
Last week, new elections were held and Prime Minister Cameron's party again received the majority of seats in their Parliament. He will maintain his position and keep his residence at 10 Downing Street. Cameron seems to be a good man.
Now we anxiously wait to get a new resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
